Progressive Strength Series for Better Chaturanga & Push-Ups

A Resistance Training Series to Compliment Your Asana Practice

Twice a week for five weeks + Bonus class, all recordings, and so much more

Series Summary

This 5-week series will help you:

- Develop a stronger upper body and trunk, and stable chaturanga or push-up
- Engage weight training in a targeted way for enhancing a yoga asana practice and / or improving your ability to do push-ups
- Guide you and offer some (virtual) company while you strength train.

The series is NOT a yoga program.

It is a dumbbell progressive strength training program that, if you practice vinyasa yoga, should enable you to feel stronger during your time on your yoga mat, especially in chaturanga dandasana.
If you dont' have

This series will include:
- 11 live ~30 minute practices (2x/week for 5 weeks -- Sunday mornings Eastern Time and Tuesday evenings Eastern Time)
- Recordings of all 11 practices, plus the Intro class, so 12 total 30 minute classes
- Education about strength training essentials, and specifically how to be efficient and progressive in your use of weights
- Mechanisms for tracking your strength training progress
- Discussion area where you can ask any question, any time
- Everything will remain available to you for 60 days after purchase

Why 30 minutes?
- Because strength training can be extremely efficient.

Why 5 weeks?
- It takes at least 4 weeks to start seeing muscle tissue changes, so if you commit and do this program twice a week, 5 weeks should be enough time for you to start to notice meaningful improvement in your push-ups or chaturanga. You can do these classes up to 3 days a week, should you choose, for faster benefit.

Who is this for?
- Anyone who would like to get a stronger upper body, wants the guidance, and has access to dumbbells (ideally) and / or resistance bands and internet.

What if I have aches and pains?
- If you have existing aches and pains that have prevented you from regularly working out with your upper body, we do recommend getting cleared by an MD or a PT before joining this program. (To book a video or in person session with Ariele, please see https://wellilo.janeapp.com)
- One thing about working out: you can't wait until everything is perfect.
- Often you do not have to wait until you are out of ALL pain or discomfort, but if you do enter the program with some upper body challenges, we encourage you to go lighter in the workouts, and to add a third workout each week (using one of the recordings).
