Strengthen and protect your feet!
As a high school teacher, I am on my feet all day. As a yoga instructor, I see and feel the necessary movements of our feet in each move. This course gave me ideas to strengthen my feet, prevent injury, and be aware of how I can use these methods in my practice.

Fantastic Food Yoga
Dr. Ariele Foster is an outstanding yoga teacher and physical therapist, and this foot yoga class stands out in her offerings. The class is a revelation for what is possible and what is needed for good foot care. Dr. Foster leads the class through exercises designed to strengthen and awaken our feet. Performed individually, the movements are reasonably easy to initiate though proficiency may take time to develop. At the end of the two-part class, my feet feel wonderfully open and stronger, and there is a strong sense that this is a practice that must be incorporated into an overall practice of health and well being. I highly recommend the class!

Don't Neglect those Feet!
I just want to let you know that this SOLEstice workshop was most helpful for my frequently aching feet. Being reminded that feet and hands have the same number of bones made me realize that to find comfort in my feet I need to provide them with opportunities to move in the many ways the foot, toes, and ankles are designed to move. Motion is lotion! I'm now incorporating into my practice a number of the movements you taught in the workshop. And surprise, surprise these movements seem to have helped my hip mobility. I guess everything IS connected!
