Instructor Bio

Chanda, E-RYT-500, YACEP, has been teaching yoga and meditation since 2001 and has studied with numerous master teachers in the US and globally.

Chanda holds 500 hour certifications with Shiva Rea and Shri Kali Ashram in Goa, India and holds a Trauma-Informed Yoga certification through the NYC-based Feet on the Ground program. Chanda trained in neuroscience, emotional intelligence, and mindfulness meditation with the Search Inside Yourself Leadership Institute, leads leadership trainings built on those three pillars, and builds insights from neuroscience into her classes and retreats.

Chanda holds degrees from or has studied at Oglethorpe University, Columbia University, and King’s College London (pre-PhD).

An avid international traveler for both work and play, Chanda guides international retreats and expeditions, with a focus on retreats in Africa. Additionally, Chanda is passionate about big mountains and brings neuroscience-informed and mindfulness techniques to her approach to mountaineering. Chanda is committed to offering practices, retreats, and trainings that cultivate resilience, strength, and compassion.
